ABCK-AmCham Kuwait Hosts Annual 4th of July Celebration

The celebration began with opening remarks from officials of the American Chamber and the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait, highlighting the significance of freedom and Independence Day. Service members were warmly welcomed and thanked for their sacrifice and valor, as AmCham Kuwait holds this event annually to honor those serving in the U.S. Military.

The event included a variety of activities and attractions to celebrate the 4th of July spirit, culminating in a cake-cutting ceremony led by Pete Swift, Chairman of AmCham Kuwait; H.E. Ambassador Karen Hideko Sasahara of the United States Embassy in Kuwait.

Attendees enjoyed live music, traditional American food and beverages, and participated in games such as beach volleyball, soccer, and other team-building activities throughout the day.

The evening concluded with an exciting raffle for participants, featuring a range of impressive prizes. The first prize, provided by Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait, included a one-night stay in the Executive Suite for two guests, breakfast at Elements restaurant, and an additional breakfast voucher for four guests at Elements. Best Al Yousif contributed four vouchers, each worth 50 KD. Crowne Plaza Kuwait Al Thuraya City offered two vouchers for lunch or dinner at Shabestan Restaurant and two vouchers for lunch or dinner at Noukhaza Restaurant. Safety & Fire Experts provided two emergency safety bags, while Tamdeen Group – Rafa Nadal Academy contributed two free day pass vouchers for a full day of activity at the Academy. Nova Medical Clinic added five vouchers, each valued at 20 KD. Hilton Kuwait Resort donated four dinner vouchers for two people. Kitco Arabia contributed cartons of snacks, and UTC–Union Trading Company rounded off the raffle with five kettles, one coffee machine, and one air fryer. United Beverages Company K.S.C.C. also set up a booth featuring their snacks and products.

This special occasion aimed to express deep gratitude for the sacrifices made by service members in addition to coming together to celebrate their national heritage, freedoms, and values. This was an opportunity to reflect on the principles of liberty, democracy, and the ongoing struggle for independence and equality.
